Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Lexington County School District One. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language impairments in students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech and language impairments in students, and develop individualized treatment plans to address these impairments.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students, using a variety of techniques and strategies to promote speech and language development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students with speech and language impairments.
  • Assess student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certification.
  • Minimum qualifying score(s) on the area examination(s) required by the State Board of Education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students with speech and language impairments.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech and language therapy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions
  • Conducts duties in classroom environments with no significant exposure to adverse environmental factors.
  • Physical demands are restricted to work requiring occasional lifting/moving of items up to twenty-five pounds.
  • Occasional travel is required; possible overnight travel required.
