Johns Hopkins University supports a flexible work model which includes four different work modalities. This role has a modified hybrid work arrangement with an onsite presence of 2 days per week. The manager will confirm the team's core onsite days where the majority/all team members will work in the office. Employees who travel on university business can count those days towards their onsite days.

Reporting to the Director of RMPA, the Prospect Management Analyst is a key member of the team, tasked with data management, conceptualizing and executing training, and serving as a main point of contact for DAR colleagues. Through these activities, the Prospect Management Analyst will be an integral partner in building out workflows and processes to support scalable solutions in our customer relationship management (CRM) database.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Relationship Management Database Management

  • Create, maintain, monitor, and audit database records related to prospect management. This requires accurately and efficiently entering and retrieving data from the CRM database using queries, reports, and bulk uploads.
  • Diagnose data integrity and quality control issues and recommend solutions. A key component will include supporting recurring portfolio maintenance activities.

Portfolio and Pipeline Management

  • Support portfolio reviews through partnerships with Development Research. This includes providing key information about managed prospects to support portfolio management and strategy discussions, in addition to capturing relevant data in the CRM.


Relationship Management Reporting

  • Generate reports that provide accurate projections of gifts in the pipeline and snapshots of the prospect pool and strategies. This will require the ability to query and compile CRM data for portfolio and pipeline projects as well as monthly, quarterly and annual office reports. Ability to develop, present, and implement special projects and reports to better serve department purposes, preferred.

Orienting and Training Colleagues

  • Serve as the key trainer and technical support for DAR staff, supporting fundraisers across all business units. This includes disseminating and communicating changes in business practices (as needed) to administrative staff, documenting standard operating procedures, coordinating training schedules, and managing user roles in the CRM for incoming and outgoing DAR staff.

Build Internal Relationships

  • Develop and maintain effective work relationships with a variety of colleagues and work as an effective member of the RMPA team. This includes responding to routine requests for information, providing answers to problems and/or inquiries relating to donors and prospects, and collaborating with gift officers to solicit input and explain database decisions.
  • Identify and cultivate key relationships within the Office of Advancement Services that enable the efficient execution of essential tasks to support data integrity and reporting.
  • Other projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two years related experience required.
  • Additional graduate level education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in prospect development or in a higher education advancement setting is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, and to formulate productive partnerships with individuals and groups of all levels of University staff, particularly development officers, faculty, and administration.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to proactively set priorities, manage detailed multiple projects simultaneously, learn and execute new areas quickly, take ownership of major areas of responsibility, meet deadlines, and function in a team environment.
  • Outstanding organization, planning and analytical skills. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capable of appropriately handling confidential and proprietary information and using sound judgment in working with sensitive material.
  • Familiarity with the APRA Code of Ethics.
  • Exceptional computer skills that include Microsoft Office365 and relational databases. Proficiency with Excel required; Salesforce CRM, Tableau and/or PowerBI, a plus.
