Permanent position
FULL TIME ONSITE
Location: Akron, NY
Salary: $85k-$95k

Duties:
· Analyze the cost of raw materials, labor and overhead to determine the cost of production.
· Develop budgets and forecasts based on cost analysis to help guide financial planning and decision-making.
· Investigate and explain differences between actual costs and budgeted costs, identifying areas for improvement and/or costing-saving opportunities.
· Monitor inventory levels and valuation, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and implementing inventory control procedures. Lead efforts on the annual physical inventory and cost-roll exercises.
· Identify inefficiencies in cost accounting processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
· Prepare financial reports, including cost reports, profitability analysis and variance reports, for the management team.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies related to cost accounting practices.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Attendance is an essential function of the job.
o    set up new materials and perform cost rolls, on an as-needed basis   
o    manage the manufacturing work order process and analyze material, labor, and overhead variances 
o    analyze and maintain current cost models 
o    assist with month-end and year-end close, such as preparing journal entries and account reconciliations

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
