Workplace Accommodation Specialist

The Opportunity:
As a professional in Business Services, you have the experience and skills to ensure our Delivery Hub operations are effective, efficient, timely, and valuable for internal and external clients. You know how to interface with internal and external customers and leadership to understand needs and gain insight into Business Services performance.
As a member of the Human Resource Administrative Team, you will perform management, administrative, processing, reporting, facilitation, and auditing responsibilities, including processing accommodation requests, engagement with business, reviewing, seeking approval, providing client collaterals to the business, and reviewing alternative solutions to requested accommodation as needed. Oversee implementation and monitoring, partnering with internal teams and vendors to assist with the facilitation of accommodation (i.e., furniture, etc.), formalizing approved accommodation, and following up to ensure accommodation is working well, consultation and coaching regarding complex accommodation matters and other partnering teams to resolve escalated inquiries, system maintenance, intake notes, communication with business, orders placed in conjunction with the accommodation, formalized accommodation memo etc. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
How You’ll Contribute:
Ensure compliance with policies and federal and state laws, including daily oversight, corrective actions, and escalations
Track, and report on program metrics
Triage, self-assign, and respond to medium to high risk complexity accommodation requests and inquiries in conjunction with the Accommodation Team service level agreement
Conduct individualized intake and review each accommodation request
Maintain a record of the interactive accommodation process (i.e., notes, communication, memos, etc.) within the internal request management tool
Escalation and final resolution point on requests
Engage with the business to review and seek support for the requested accommodation
Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Partner with and manage relationships with internal teams and external vendors to assist with the facilitation of accommodations
Respond to inquiries and questions and provide guidance to employees, leadership, and other staff regarding the accommodation program or process and recommendations
Maintain currency of knowledge concerning technology, equipment, workplace arrangements applicable laws, regulations, standards, or systems

You Have:
5+ years of experience as a human resources consultant, leave and disability manager, or workplace accommodations specialist
Experience in facilitating the interactive process in conjunction with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and local laws
Experience in facilitating requests in conjunction with HIPAA, and Federal and State privacy laws and regulations
Experience with managing and utilizing independent judgment to impart confidential information
Experience with analyzing, problem-solving, organizing, managing multiple priorities, and following up in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
Ability to analyze employment-related issues, engage in complex HR and personnel discussions, and integrate partners to accomplish objectives
Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:

Knowledge of digital and technology accessibility standards and practices
Ability to be detail-oriented and analyze, problem solve, and organize and manage multiple priorities
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
