The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing engineering tasks within the transportation and highway design sectors, utilizing relevant design standards and methodologies.

Flexible work arrangements may be available based on discussions during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and/or engage in multiple projects concurrently while applying independent judgment and critical thinking.
Prepare and/or supervise the creation of engineering design documents, studies, and reports pertaining to highway design.
Draft project specifications, conduct engineering cost assessments, and perform quality assurance/quality control.
Devise design solutions for intricate projects.
Assist in formulating project fees and budgets.
Occasionally travel to project or client locations for task completion and meetings.
Engage in public presentations and meetings.
Support the maintenance and development of client relationships.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
A minimum of 8-10 years of practical experience in highway engineering.
Experience in drainage, erosion, sediment control, and stormwater management design is advantageous.
Familiarity with MDOT-SHA project delivery processes.
Professional Engineering License is mandatory (MD License).
Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, MicroStation, and Inroads is essential.
Experience with Open Roads Designer is required.
Valid driver's license with a record of safe driving practices.
