  • Directly supervise staff assignedto the unit in the performance of their duties and evaluate asprescribed by facility and corporatepolicy.Participatein recruiting, hiring and orienting assignedstaff.Communicateresponsibilities, authorities and accountability to all directsubordinates so that they are defined andunderstood.
  • Complete written evaluations on all staff under directsupervision; review and approve staff evaluations completed bysubordinate managers or supervisors in accordance with corporateguidelines.
  • Routinely review subordinates’ payroll records and theuse ofovertime.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GEDcertification, or equivalent is required.
  • Three years of experience in a criminal justice field,which includes two years in a supervisory capacity or two years asa CoreCivic Case Manager or Correctional Counselor, isrequired.
  • Additional qualifying education may be substituted forthe experience on a year-for-yearbasis.
  • Experience on a “CoreCivic Way” unit management teamthat includes time served as an acting Unit Manager may besubstituted for the aforementionedqualifications.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles andpractices of correctional facility management, supervision, andtraining as well as knowledge of, pertinent corrections laws, rulesandregulations.

    A valid driver's licenseis required.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years ofage.
