Description:The Work
Coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products. Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability. Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance. Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement. Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues. Leads teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.

Selected candidate will be expected to be able to review prime contract reviews, author Basis of Estimates (BOE's), review and edit supplier Statements of Work (SOW). The selected candidate is expected to be able to identify high risk suppliers utilizing formal risk assessment tools. Selected candidate is also expected to provide support to proposal teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.

-Able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Program Management, Engineering, Sub-contracts Management Team, Operations and Customer Government Representatives
-Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports
-Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent
-Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers
-Experience managing major Subcontractors
-A basic understanding of the SAP and P2P business systems
- Familiarty with power systems, electromechanical systems, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with test readiness and design reviews.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
