Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

ASRC Federal Mission Solutions stands as a leading provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management services tailored for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.

We are currently in search of a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the U.S. Navy's Aegis Weapons System.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in assessing Unix and Legacy applications across various run-time environments.
  • Capability to devise and execute strategies for process enhancement and troubleshooting technical challenges.
  • Skill in generating and reviewing corrective action reports to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to address quality concerns effectively.
  • Experience in leading and participating in Process Evaluations to uphold quality assurance protocols.

Qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship to obtain and sustain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development, Quality Assurance, and Configuration Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Extensive familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Project, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of ClearCase/ClearQuest or similar Source Code Management Systems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Status Accounting and Tracking Systems.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, multitasking skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain effective relationships with peers and customers across various technical levels.
  • Specific experience in supporting Naval Weapon Systems is a plus.
