    • Financial Reporting and Systems:
    • Lead further development, implementation, and maintenance of Encore’s accounting system, including the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system based in Sage Intacct.
    • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Develop and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
    • Stay abreast of accounting pronouncements and industry best practices.

Tax and Audit:Manage the company's relationship with external auditors, facilitating smooth and efficient audits.Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns.Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while complying with all relevant tax laws.
 Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):Partner with finance team to refine and maintain accurate financial models and forecasts, including integration with accounting and program data systems.Conduct analysis to identify and understand financial performance and form recommendations for process and system improvements.Oversee preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
Investor Relations:Lead the preparation of financial reports for lenders and tax equity investors, ensuring compliance with financing agreements and investor covenants.Develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders and investors, providing timely and transparent financial communication.
Treasury Function:Incorporate cash management function and oversight of banking relationships, compliance with loans, etc.
Team Leadership and Development:Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Manage and develop the skills of the accounting team members.Your Skills and Experiences
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA designation with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy industry
    • Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP and strong understanding of the renewable energy sector as well as project finance including tax equity, ideally
    • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and tax accounting
    • Proven experience with ERP systems and financial modeling
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team
    • Strong financial, planning and analysis skills
    • Self–starter, able to work independently and in a team environment
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
    • Ability to self-organize priorities, set and work to deadlines, often with limited direct oversight
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, organized approach to workflow processes
    • Impeccable integrity and a high degree of emotional intelligence
    • Team player with a willingness to pitch in across the organization
