This role reports to the Platform Manager -Office 365 & Automation, and is located in Bangalore, India.

You will collaborate closely with our global Vontier teams and Operating Companies, managing day-to-day activities through our systems. As a Digital Workplace Engineer - Automation, you will work closely with infrastructure and product team leads, architects, and enhance the digital workspace experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools and technology. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining Workplace Automation solutions. This involves leveraging technologies such as the MSGraph API, PowerApps, Flow, SharePoint, and integrating with ServiceNow to meet our business needs. You will also drive best practices in Digital Workplace Infrastructure tools and technology.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create and maintain automation leveraging tools such as MSGraph/REST API, PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerShell, ServiceNow, and RPA-based tools.

  • Maintain Office 365 automation processes and improve capabilities for existing Office 365 and ServiceNow-based automation.

  • Integrate Azure AD with automation workflows to automate user provisioning, access management, and identity lifecycle processes.

  • Develop and deploy RPA/Automation solutions to automate repetitive tasks across various platforms and applications.

  • Create and maintain end-user automation by integrating with Office 365, ServiceNow, etc., to facilitate data exchange and enhance automation capabilities.

  • Utilize GitHub for version control and collaboration on automation scripts and configurations.

  • Develop custom applications and solutions using PowerApps to automate business processes and enhance user interaction.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements in automation solutions.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automated processes to ensure reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

  • Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on automation tools, processes, and best practices.

  • Document automation workflows, procedures, and configurations for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

  • Configure and manage other Office 365 tools and technologies like Entra, Intune, Viva, Teams, & Licensing.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) of system and application configurations and changes.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Candidates applying for this position should have at least 4-5 years of experience in developing and supporting Office 365, ServiceNow, RPA, and PowerShell-based automation.

  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions using ServiceNow Orchestration, Office 365 (PowerApps/Power Automate), Windows 11, and other Microsoft technologies to enhance end-user productivity and streamline operational processes.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud technology, Office 365, and Scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, MS Graph, ServiceNow API, PowerApps, and Power Automate.

  • Thorough understanding of modern DevOps practices and toolsets such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Solid understanding of quality standards, legislation, ITIL, and best practices.

  • Capacity to adapt and prioritize tasks effectively, proficient in gathering and assimilating information.

  • Familiarity with industry standards, available technologies, and best practices in security and systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
