Key Accountabilities• Lead daily management of team that provides HR Business Partner services.
• Lead and guide in the area of Labor Relations in order to maintain union free status. Train and mentor HR Partners as well as current and future HDMA leaders.
• Assist in the development of human resource policies.
• Research HR emerging issues and trends to inform strategic business decision and HR strategy as it relates to key areas of responsibility.
• Communicate and facilitate company level initiatives as appropriate such as Regional Compensation and Promotions, Performance Management, etc with Department Leads.
• Lead as a strategic business partner regarding HR business plan initiatives or themes.
• Manage key projects and support as assigned.
• Advise on and coordinate regarding Exempt and Non-Exempt associates’ adherence to company policies and procedures with exit interviews, leave of absence, etc.
• Manage and support with associate movement process and evaluating documentation to ensure aligning with company policies, budgets, etc.
• Support Legal team as needed.
Required Work Experience:
• 8 years of progressive HR or other relevant experience
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or other related Business field
Desired Skills:
• HR Employment law knowledge
• Dealing with conflict and empowerment to escalate
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Kronos, Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint, SuccessFactors
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Additional Position Factors:
• Open-office environment
• Travel 2-5 days annually for training and/or special projects
• May require travel between plants/locations
• 5-8 hours of OT per week.
