  • Job Type: Regular Audiovisual Specialist RAND"s Conference Services department seeks an Audiovisual Specialist to provide AV technology support for board meetings, conferences, outreach events, and staff meetings in the RAND Washington, DC office.
  • The Audiovisual Specialist, working day to day with our East Coast AV Lead, and reporting to RAND’s AV Technology Manger, will produce and support complex live events as well as virtual meetings via Teams and Zoom. The position is also responsible for providing oversight for AV installations, technical troubleshooting, and on-site customer support.
  • Supports a wide array of AV equipment/services including video conferencing, projection and LCD/LED displays, audio systems, wireless microphone systems, camera operation and video recording, lighting, control systems, and other collaborative technology devices.
  • Oversees AV system installations, including on-site vendor coordination, system testing and quality control.
  • Provide PTZ camera shooting and switching along with audio and video post-production services such as editing and video encoding.
  • Familiarity with hardware from manufacturers including, but not limited to, Biamp, Poly, Crestron, Extron, Cisco, Logitech, Aver, Shure, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic video shooting, image framing and post-production services.
  • Ability to sketch signal flows, room diagrams, and layouts.
