About the Role

Venable LLP is seeking an experienced Audiovisual Events Specialist to provide technical support for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless audiovisual experiences for our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to schedule webinars, virtual conferences, and hybrid events, determining technical requirements and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Audiovisual Equipment Operation: Set up and operate audio mixers, video/graphics switchers, cameras, and Zoom for live events, providing advance and real-time support to connected participants.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot connectivity, audio, and video service quality issues, serving as an escalation point for Service Desk staff and assisting firmwide Hardware and AV Support teams with setups and escalations.
  • AV Equipment Maintenance: Conduct AV equipment testing and assessments, analyzing needs, making recommendations, and obtaining quotes for new equipment.
  • Workflow Monitoring: Monitor workflow, Service Desk queues, external connection requests, and team escalations to ensure efficient event execution.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of three years' experience providing audiovisual production support to live events, meetings, and webinars.
  • Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of protocols and AV design, including signal flow, VLANs, H.323, H.264, SIP, WebRTC, and H.239 duo-video, video bridging, and gateways, as well as applicable platforms, including Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Soft Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with and support all levels within the organization.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to frequently walk for up to 60% of the workday, push equipment carts of approximately 50 pounds, and be onsite five days per week, with occasional travel to other firm offices.
