Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field, plus three to five years related benefits or employee benefits administration experience and/or training. In addition, the ideal candidate will be SHRM/HRCI certified or other benefits administration related certification.

Strong computer proficiency and technological expertise, with experience managing employee benefits programs on a multi-departmental scale.

Primary Functions:

Responsible for directing, planning, and administering the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs of CNB Bank & Trust, including but not limited to, retirement plans, deferred compensation plans, and stock options in accordance with established Bank policies, goals, and objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as plan administrator for the employee retirement plan, deferred compensation plans, and stock options, as well as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Design, recommend, and implement new benefits programs; examine possible plan designs and benefits cost changes.
  • Research employee benefits plans and vendors to identify those that present the best value. Negotiate with vendors and administrators to seek competitive bids for the best plans, options, and rates.
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing; handle enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing.
  • Provide oversight relative to the processing and administration of the Bank's group benefits plans, including, but not limited to: employee benefit file and group benefits database maintenance and updating employee payroll records.
  • Responsible for the performance of plan audits; prepare, collect, and organize data for actuarial assessments, and review data in conjunction with actuarial evaluation task forces.
  • Serve as a "champion" of a sales and service culture, ensuring prompt, efficient, and exceptional customer service. Assure delivery of exceptional customer service through adherence to the Bank's written customer service standards.


Work Schedule:

Full Time Position - Monday through Friday.
Varied hours and schedule depending on operational needs. Overtime and evening hours as needed.

Location:

Edwardsville/Glen Carbon or Alton branches preferred.
