MaineHealth Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced Clinician Educator to serve as the Nephrology Fellowship Program Director.  We are seeking a full-time BC/BE Nephrology physician to join our well-established, collegial group of 12 nephrologists and 9 advanced practice providers in Portland, Maine.

This position offers:

Team-based care model with collaborative approach to care. Competitive compensation package including relocation assistance, CME expense reimbursement, and malpractice insurance. Our group is the largest in the region and provides a full array of clinical services that encompass acute and chronic kidney disease, renal replacement therapy, apheresis, critical care and interventional nephrology, kidney transplantation, renal sonography, and kidney biopsy.

Qualifications:

MD/DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certification/Board Eligible. Responsible for developing and maintaining the fellowship curriculum and evaluation system and ensuring the program meets all requirements as laid out by ACGME and Clinical Learning Environment Reviews.  Guide strategic planning for the ongoing growth and development of the Fellowship program, in collaboration with the Departments of Medicine and Medical Education.   Will devote 75% of their time to clinical effort in Nephrology.
