Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • The successful candidate will have at least 6 years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained with a top law firm and in the legal department of a top tier institution.
  • Experience negotiating commercial contracts directly with clients or counterparties, ideally obtained as in-house counsel for a company; effective communication and presentation skills and a consistent track record of effective client relations, demonstrating strong influencing and partnerships skills.
  • Familiarity with the legal and regulatory frameworks governing financial products and services in the United States would be a strong advantage, e.g., broker-dealer regulations and privacy regulations.
  • Creative problem-solving skills; an ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical solutions.
