BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces.
As a Senior Sales Operations Representative you will advocate for our customers, and provide support to all our customer facing websites. In this case, you will have expertise in troubleshooting and providing support for the following websites: Bodyshopmall.com, Coatingsmall.com, BASFRefinish.com, salesforce.com, and visionplusonline.com. You will have deep understanding of the functionality and features of these websites in order to effectively assist customers with any technical issues they may encounter.
This position also supports various services and functions with the ECR business including, but not limited to; customer conversions, Salesforce, Refinity registrations, Distributor Credits, and Learning University.
During your shift as a Senior Sales Operations Support Rep, you will
- Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Create and maintain customer accounts, ensuring that all necessary information is up to date.
- Manage accounts receivable and following up with customers regarding outstanding payments.
- Analyze credit information and make informed decisions regarding credit limits and terms for customers.
- Guide customers through the website's navigation, helping them find the information or features they need.
- Generate and send invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Notify customers about any back-ordered items and providing updates on delivery timelines.
- Assist customers with ordering and setting up equipment or installations related to the products or services offered.
- Provide training to customers on how to use the website effectively and enroll them in any relevant programs or services.
- Manage and update the content on the websites they support, ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years customer service/supply chain experience OR 6+ years of customer service/supply chain experience in lieu of a degree.
- Are action oriented with the ability to set priorities, possess strong problem solving/analytical skills and make decisions in a dynamic work environment.
- Have understanding of accounts receivable and collections practices.
- Have computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products and web-based applications.
- Have excellent oral/written communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a helpful and friendly manner.
- Have the ability to work well in a team environment (positive and friendly attitude is critical).

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $70k - $90k. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
