About The Role:

Betr is looking to add an Accounting Manager to our accounting/finance team, which will report directly into our Controller. Our ideal candidate is a CPA with Big Four accounting experience and enjoys working on new and challenging opportunities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This individual should have a deep understanding of accounting processes and will actively participate in improving the Company’s accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close processes and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP 
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management, investors, and other key stakeholders
  • Perform account reconciliations and monthly balance sheet and income statement analytics
  • Prepare reports for external auditors and gaming regulators
  • Document and maintain a system of controls, policies, and procedures over month-end activities
  • Collaborate with various personnel and departments to collect information needed to complete month-end close tasks and ensure appropriate accounting treatment
  • Review journal entries, tax filings, and reconciliations prepared by the accounting associate and provide feedback as needed.
  • Review and reconcile 3rd party reports including AP, cash, payment processing activity, credit card transactions, etc.
  • Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
  • 4-8 years experience; preferably with experience at a Big Four Accounting Firm
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and standard accounting processes and controls
  • Experience with financial systems ERP systems; NetSuite preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior leaders, external partners and internal staff
  • Detailed and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including solid Excel skills
