Feminist Studies Department: Lecturer Pool

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Feminist Studies Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach during the regular academic year and summer session in the following areas: feminist theories; feminism and literature; transnational feminism; indigenous feminisms; postcolonial feminist studies; law and politics; queer, trans, and sexuality studies; feminist critical race studies; feminist science studies; health and reproductive technologies; gender and popular culture. Candidates should be willing to teach both large lecture courses and seminars and be able to deliver on-line instruction if the need arises.

Applicants with expertise in feminist theory, queer studies, feminist science studies, and critical race studies are strongly encouraged to apply.

The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching and other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Master’s degree or higher (or equivalent foreign degree) in a field related to advertised position and a minimum of three year’s teaching experience at the college or university level.
