Position Overview:
We are in search of dynamic and engaged educators who possess a strong foundation in the critical examination of race and ethnicity. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with contemporary developments in the field of ethnic studies.

Responsibilities:
Applicants are expected to design and implement course syllabi that explore themes such as racial capitalism, while also addressing the intersections of race and ethnicity with other critical categories including gender, sexuality, class, disability, indigeneity, law, and citizenship.

Areas of Interest:
We welcome proposals that cover a diverse array of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Comparative studies of race, ethnicity, and indigeneity
  • Critical perspectives on adoption
  • Migration studies and border issues
  • Prison reform and critical studies
  • Science and technology in a critical context
  • Disability and environmental studies
  • Decolonization and anti-colonial movements
  • Indigenous and labor studies
  • Mixed-race and queer studies
  • Settler colonialism and transgender studies
  • War and imperial studies

Preferred Qualifications:
We particularly encourage candidates whose teaching is rooted in comparative, interdisciplinary, and/or transnational frameworks. Experience in indigenous studies or community engagement is highly valued.

Teaching Format:
Lecturers should be prepared to teach in both large lecture settings and smaller seminar formats.
