Responsibilities What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Response). Typical assignments include: Ensuring that guidance is focused on emergency response and complying with emergency management related directives, regulations, policies, laws, standards and guidance in order to provide response capabilities that address multiple hazard scenarios. Overseeing the development and documentation of short and long-range planning efforts including deliberate and crisis planning initiatives. Performing work that involves the coordination of emergency response and preparedness training, exercises, and local assistance. Serving as an expert consultant and staff advisor to the Regional Response Division Director on assigned program areas of responsibility. Performing as a spokesperson at nation-wide conferences, meetings, committees and working groups that propose, defend and/or criticize continuity and emergency response criteria, in order to promote and maintain a pro-active response posture.
