Project Management Intern

Schneider Electric is looking to hire a Project Management Intern at our Florham Park, NJ location
The Project Management Intern is responsible for managing small projects, executing projects and planning, monitoring progress and assessing risks. This position manages complete job processes, from order preparation through to financial close-out and provides technical support on projects when needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Planning and scheduling project timelines and tracking project deliverables using the appropriate tools.Ensuring project deliverables meet the company’s quality standard and contract requirements, and reviewing deliverables prepared by team before passing them on to the client.Overseeing quality control throughout the project life cycle.Minimizing exposure and risk on project.Developing and implementing recovery/mitigation plans for unanticipated eventualities.Diligently managing ‘change order’ processes.Constantly monitoring and reporting on progress to concerned stakeholders.Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.Assisting in the evaluation and assessment of project KPIs.Facilitating team and client meetings effectively.Developing relationships with client/consultant personnel that foster long term business ties.Following up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.Suggesting areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.Actively participating in QMS and HSE programs.Using the required processes and procedures to execute work.Reporting any existing or potential safety and QMS nonconformities to a supervisor, Quality Manager or HSE Coordinator.Maintaining a clean work area through daily housekeeping, as required.Other duties, as required.Skills:
Critical thinking, problem solving and decision making.Planning, organizing and time management.Effective communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.Detail oriented and the ability to multi-task.The ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.Functional knowledge using Microsoft Office suite.Bilingual (French/English) preferred.

Engineering technology program diploma or equivalentTraining Requirements:
