Carlton Edwards is seeking a talented Project Manager/Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll oversee the planning, design, and execution of cutting-edge architectural projects, ensuring they meet our high standards and client expectations.
As a key player in our collaborative environment, you'll work closely with clients, consultants, and construction teams to bring visionary concepts to life. Your expertise in project management and architecture will be instrumental in driving projects from conception to completion, maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality control.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Understand and consistently execute all aspects of the design process and project complexities to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design. Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance with internal standards. Engage with and mentor team members. Demonstrate strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance. Foster good communication and working relationships with all members of the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials. Lead interactions with clients. Embrace, protect and help evolve documentation standards. Manage project budgets, fee, and staffing/workload needs. Design inspiring spaces and create great experiences for both high-end residential and boutique hospitality projects. Work independently and receive oversight from leadership in the form of broad objectives. Coordinate effectively with partners and consultants. Continue to grow in your knowledge and professional development. Coordinate project documentation execution, construction plans, and details, ensuring quality control and completion. Maintain awareness of evolving building technology and engineering systems relevant to the project. Participate and collaborate in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups. Maintain project manuals and specifications. Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction. Administer applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.). Coordinate effectively with partners and consultants. Continue to grow in your knowledge and professional development.QUALIFICATIONS
A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline. Licensure or a plan for licensure within the first 90 days of employment. 10+ years of related experience showcasing significant work within boutique residential and hospitality sectors. Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software with a focus on Revit, Sketchup, and Bluebeam experience as a requirement. Should have good graphic skills and ability to perform analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies and limited design layouts. Technically strong enough to provide guidance to junior resources on the team. Possess an innovative style and an interest in sustainable building performance and research and development. Document project specifications and create reports, plans, estimates, and calculations. Experience with construction administration.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
As a firm, we are committed to pay practices that are fair, competitive, and reflect internal pay equity. Final salary decisions are made based upon the extent and relatedness of the candidate’s education and experience and considering internal equity and external market factors.
