Are you a detail-oriented and motivated accountant ready to make an impact at a fast-growing tech company? Nasuni is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to play a crucial role in our day-to-day accounting activities, including contract and commissions review, technical revenue guidance research, and monthly close procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in diverse accounting functions, process improvement initiatives, and systems design projects. You will work closely with various departments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Please note, this position requires you to be onsite at our Boston Seaport office three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close reconciliations for revenue and receivable accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain quarterly revenue and bookings metrics for management.
  • Analyze deferred commissions and monitor average customer life.
  • Manage and review professional services project tracking and reporting based on percentage of completion.
  • Research and document technical accounting guidance related to revenue recognition.
  • Develop internal control testing and documentation around order entry, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
  • Process purchase orders via Intacct and manage new customer data entry or order changes.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams including sales, finance, channel, alliances, and legal.
  • Assist in the annual audit, including process walkthroughs and revenue selection support.


Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Big4 or regional public accounting firm required OR a minimum of 5 years of corporate account experience
  • CPA certification preferred, with Big4 Public Accounting experience as a plus.
  • SOX compliance experience is advantageous.
  • Background in the SaaS industry and subscription-based revenue models.
  • Proficient in researching, documenting, and interpreting technical accounting guidance, particularly ASC 606.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, ensuring accuracy in deliverables for various stakeholders.
  • Experience with Intacct and Salesforce (or similar ERP/CRM systems) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
