What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Administrative Operations Section of the Administrative Services Branch within the Region 3 Mission Support Division. Typical assignments include:

Coordinating and controlling property and/or equipment within a designated management area or a specialized field of supply operations and performs a variety of accountable property management duties in the areas of property accountability including acquisition, utilization, identification, inventory control, and disposition of all equipment.
Ensuring that all property and equipment items are used for the purpose procured and intended and are properly maintained and accounted for according to laws, regulations, and policies.
Preparing reports, performs property inventories, and statistical analysis, as required.
Providing disaster closeout transition, management, and demobilization of inventory system of record.
Performing additional assignments in support of other FEMA programs as required.
Providing timely, responsive, and quality customer service.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
