Advises management on complex procurement issues for acquisitions of equipment, supplies and services that have a significant impact on the effectiveness and timeliness of the DHS mission.
Performs comprehensive analyses of contract problems presented and formulate innovative solutions that are practical, effective, and in compliance with relevant regulatory and administrative policies, orders, statutes, practices, and procedures.
Conducts compliance reviews of the procurement operations across DHS Contracting Activities to ensure that DHS enters into good business deals that comply with statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements.
Provides advice and guidance on contracting/procurement matters to project managers and contracting officers.
