Position Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst is pivotal in guiding the financial direction of the organization. The position reports directly to the VP of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Financial Analysis: Evaluate financial information, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
+ Recognize trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic choices.
+ Deliver insights to senior leadership regarding financial performance.
+ Budgeting and Forecasting: Create and oversee annual budgets and financial forecasts.
+ Collaborate with department heads to establish revenue and expense estimates.
+ Integrate forecasts from various divisions to formulate a comprehensive company-wide financial plan.
+ Process Improvement: Enhance forecasting methodologies and data analysis techniques.
+ Identify cost-saving opportunities and advocate for their execution.
+ Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of analysts.
+ Ensure timely completion of tasks such as budgeting, variance analysis, and efficiency enhancements.
+ Communication: Interpret directives from executives (Director/VP, CFO, and CEO).
+ Effectively convey financial insights to stakeholders.
+ Recruitment and Training: Attract and develop new team members.
+ Navigate workplace dynamics and manage diverse personalities.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
+ Over 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
+ Excellent communication abilities.
+ Experience in defense manufacturing or similar sectors is advantageous.
Salary Range: Competitive, commensurate with experience.
