Title: Residential Territory Sales Manager
Location: Kalamazoo or Grand Rapids, MI
Pay Range: $65K-$75K Base + Commission/Bonus

Our client is a leading distributor of wholesale residential and commercial building materials with rapid growth over the last 5 or so years. This is a very lucrative territory for the company and there is a need for a fully dedicated presence in the area to call on their dealer network.

Has been a leader in the building materials industry for close to 100 years.They have a vast network of 18 distribution points to allow them to get products to their customers quickly.Very stable and well financed organization that is continually growing at a sensible pace.Acquired 2 new companies roughly 5 years ago to enhance the offerings and services they provide their clients and looking to continue to make acquisitions that make sense for the company.Have created an outstanding culture of collaboration, teamwork, and transparency throughout the organization.Everyone is valued and all opinions count.

Position Summary

Build and maintain new and existing client relationships in assigned territory to ensure market stability and growth.Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory by utilizing a variety of sales strategies.Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers to showcase product features and benefits.Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.Collaborate with regional and corporate sales teams to maximize and grow revenue and profits.Continuously improve product knowledge by engaging with internal and external experts.This is a very strong territory for the company with substantial established and potential business and the opportunity for upward mobility within the organization by performing here.Reports to Regional Manager.

Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in sales of building materials.2+ years outside B2B sales experience with proven track record of sales success.1+ year customer-facing, outside B2B sales experience preferably in the building materials space.Knowledge of the Western Michigan marketHighly motivated self-starter who can work autonomously and in a team environment with excellent follow-up skills.Excellent communication ability, both verbal and written.High level of integrity and commitment to doing what is right and fair for all involved.
