Senior Facility Condition Assessment Specialist

Job Summary: The Senior Facility Condition Assessment Specialist conducts and facilitates building condition assessments under limited supervision. Updates the facility condition assessment database. Serves as primary point of contact with organization and tracking of deferred maintenance information.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and two (2) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience; OR bachelor's degree and four (4) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience; OR associate's degree and six (6) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience; OR high school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the heavy commercial construction industry means, methods, and practices. Strong personal skills for dealing with all the varied companies and individuals encountered in facilities; whether under construction or fully occupied. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, using both technical and non-technical language. Understanding of project plans, specifications and other documents. Proficient with personal computers to include word processing, spreadsheets, drafting software, and email applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years commercial construction, architectural, or facility assessment experience. One (1) year of experience working in a college campus environment. Experience in performing inspection of mechanical, plumbing and/or electrical systems is preferred and will be an extensive part of the work. Some experience working in an institutional environment with multiple projects with various systems. Some knowledge of commercial construction including codes and standards and means and methods. Expert proficiency in Revit and ArcGIS. Experience in budget validation and cost estimating.
