As a vital member of our processing team, the Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility. This position involves the following key responsibilities:

  • Sanitation Procedures: Thoroughly rinse, foam, and disinfect all equipment, pipelines, walls, and machinery within designated areas of the processing facility.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to USDA regulations and company Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP).
  • Personal Hygiene Standards: Follow all plant policies and maintain personal cleanliness in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Product Handling: Comply with packaging and labeling requirements for all products.
  • Safety Protocols: Implement Lockout/Tagout procedures and adhere to safety guidelines on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report any unusual or suspicious activities to your immediate supervisor or management.
  • Notify management of issues such as product tampering, unauthorized personnel in restricted zones, and any equipment failures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during the work shift.
  • Utilization of ladders and high-pressure hoses as part of the cleaning process.
