Role Purpose

As on-site Operational Excellence (OE) leader, responsible for coaching key stakeholders on best practice implementation of the high reliability system including providing perspective on how to solve operational problems and improve performance; increasing organizational problem-solving capacity through expert instruction; and offering encouragement and support through constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

Serve as Executive level coach on the effective utilization and employment of the BJC High Reliability System and Operating Model and drive the overall transformation towards a highly reliable organization while building organizational capability of OE competencies including: Lean Leadership, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Facilitation, Coaching and Standardization. Establish themselves as a valued advisor to Senior Leadership, including Presidents, Vice Presidents, Directors, Managers and Supervisors, to understand the business, analyze opportunities including its ROI, estimate resource needs, define scope, initiate and execute on local and enterprise-level initiatives. Act as an internal consultant to all levels of the organization, from executive to front-line, in support of strategy deployment and catch ball activities; facilitate the development of sustainable tactics, incorporate high reliability practices to facilitate progress and achieve strategic objectives. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving through the deployment of the BJC's High Reliability System, Our BJC Values, Leadership Skills and deliver on the Operational Excellence vision. Deliver on moderate to complex improvement initiatives while acting as a coach and mentor to all internal teams, facilitating workshops and technical training, openly sharing OE knowledge, and employing rapid improvement tactics to accelerate results.
