This role may also involve providing assistance to sales and account management teams in client planning and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development: Design and refine manufacturing processes for both new and existing products, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and production objectives.

Process Optimization: Evaluate and enhance current manufacturing workflows to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce production expenses.

Equipment Oversight: Select, specify, and supervise the installation and upkeep of manufacturing machinery, ensuring peak performance and minimal operational interruptions.

Production Assistance: Offer technical support to production teams, addressing issues and implementing solutions to ensure seamless operations.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and uphold product quality standards, conducting root cause analyses and executing corrective measures for quality concerns.

Lean Manufacturing Practices: Apply lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma, to foster continuous improvement throughout the production environment.

Project Leadership: Manage and oversee manufacturing projects from inception to execution, including new product launches and process enhancements.

Documentation Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Safety and Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing operations adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

Cost Evaluation: Perform cost-benefit analyses of manufacturing processes and equipment, recommending strategies for cost reduction.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a manufacturing engineering capacity, ideally within a comparable sector.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM software is essential.

In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and automation, is required.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks is advantageous.

Understanding of ERP/MRP systems is necessary.

Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.

Work Environment:

This position typically involves working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. Some travel may be necessary for vendor interactions, equipment procurement, or project-related tasks.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various positions, including kneeling, crouching, and bending.
