As we grow the Field Service team in the Central US region we are looking for a Field Service Technician who will also provide assistance to the Technical Support team when needed. The Field Service Technician/Technical Support Specialist is a dual role responsible for providing on-site technical service and support as well as remote technical assistance. This position requires excellent technical skills, field service experience, and the flexibility to travel to customer sites as needed.  To provide appropriate service coverage in the region, the ideal candidate will be based within Connecticut and be willing to travel through out the Boston/New England US Region.

Key Responsibilities: 

Field Service Duties:

Install, configure, and test systems at customer locations according to specifications and proceduresPerform scheduled preventive maintenance on existing equipment and systemsDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system issues on-siteRepair or replace faulty components and parts as neededProvide training and guidance to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of equipmentMaintain accurate service records and documentationRespond promptly to service calls and customer requestsFollow all safety protocols and procedures when working on-site

Technical Support Duties:

Provide remote technical support via phone and email to both internal and external customersTroubleshoot system issuesWalk customers through problem-solving steps and solutionsCreate knowledge base articles to document solutions to common issuesHandling of customer warranty claimsEscalate issues to management when neededMaintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and technical developments

This role combines the hands-on technical service of a field technician with the remote support capabilities of a technical support specialist. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, outstanding customer service skills, and the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely as needed. Qualifications

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or in a related roleStrong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipmentExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsProficient in using diagnostic tools and equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagramsStrong communication and customer service skillsWillingness to travel to customer sites as requiredValid driver's license and clean driving recorAdditional Information
