We're on the hunt for a dynamic Dual-Property Director of Human Resources for the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Austin and the Embassy Suites by Hilton Austin Downtown South Congress. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the experience of approximately 100 team members between both properties. The DoubleTree Suites, which has been newly renovated, is ideally situated next to the Texas State Capitol and the University of Texas campus, while the Embassy Suites is nestled near the vibrant Congress Avenue and its renowned shopping and dining scene. These properties are seeking a dynamic change agent who is passionate about enhancing workplace culture and fostering an exceptional team member experience.

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Austin (hilton.com) - Newly renovated and located adjacent to the Texas State Capitol and UT campus, this property offers a prime location in the heart of Austin.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Austin Downtown South Congress- Positioned near the iconic Congress Avenue bridge and South Congress Avenue, this hotel is surrounded by trendy shopping and top-rated restaurants.

What will I be doing?

As a Dual-Property Director of Human Resources, you would be responsible for directing and administering the Human Resources function in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Team Builder Extraordinaire: Lead the charge in recruiting, training, and developing a top-notch team. You’ll ensure we’re not just filling positions but creating careers. Culture Champion: Shape and nurture a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture where everyone feels valued. You’ll be the driving force behind our mission to create a workplace as cool as Austin itself. Compliance Guru: Keep us on track by managing all HR-related compliance, including labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies. You’re the person who knows the rulebook inside and out. Loss Prevention Leader: Work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies for preventing loss and ensuring a safe and secure environment for both employees and guests. Payroll Administration Pro: Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely payments, while also managing wage and benefit administration. Employee Relations Whisperer: Be the mediator, counselor, and all-around problem-solver for our team members. Your goal? Happy employees who are excited to come to work every day. Strategic Partner: Work closely with our General Manager and leadership teams to align our HR strategies with our business goals. You’re not just a part of the team—you’re helping lead it.
