Horizontal Talent is working with a collaborative and inclusive team in Cleveland to recruit a contract AWS Cloud Developer to design and develop applications in AWS. The role comes with a compelling pay rate for your expertise.

As a Typescript/AWS Cloud Developer, you'll be responsible for developing and creating technical solutions using the principal tools Typescript and AWS. Also, you'll be responsible and accountable for following the software architecture and design patterns the project has already defined.

During your first few weeks in this AWS Cloud Developer role, you can expect to take on some of the following:

  • Design and develop applications with API Gateway and Amazon Lambda
  • Design and develop with AWS services, such as SQS, SNS, S3, and CloudWatch
  • Contribute daily to code reviews and other collaboration activities
  • Design and develop AWS databases, like RDS Postgres and DynamoDB
  • Diagnose and document defects in all environments and drive them to resolution.

The successful AWS Cloud Developer applicant will have front-end experience with TypeScript and Angular and backend experience building AWS Lambdas with NodeJS, .NET, or Java. Additional qualifications include:

  • A clear perception of core AWS services uses and basic AWS architecture best practices
  • Proficiency in using AWS service APIs, AWS CLI, and SDKs to write applications
  • Knowledge in using a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS (preferably GitLab)
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Cloud Watch and AWS X-Ray
  • Familiarity with No-SQL databases like DynamoDB as well as relational databases like PostgreSQL
