Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to support our esteemed client in the retail and manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in Microservice Architectures, API governance, and contemporary cloud solutions. This role requires significant expertise in crafting and executing scalable, intricate systems, with a focus on architecting and supervising the deployment of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microservice Architecture: Design and implement sophisticated systems utilizing microservice methodologies to ensure resilient and scalable solutions.
  • Event-Driven Systems: Develop and execute systems based on event-driven architecture (EDA) in conjunction with microservices.
  • Integration Oversight: Manage the integration of microservices with event-driven architectures.
  • API Governance: Establish and uphold API standards while managing tools such as Kong and Azure API Management.
  • Distributed Frameworks: Deploy microservices within distributed application frameworks.
  • Kubernetes Management: Utilize Kubernetes for the deployment and management of APIs to achieve global scalability.
  • Function as a Service: Architect and oversee FaaS frameworks, including Azure Functions and OpenFaaS.
  • Performance Optimization: Formulate strategies for enhancing API performance and management.
  • CI/CD Practices: Implement and manage CI/CD frameworks for API development and deployment.
  • Oracle Cloud Management: Configure and oversee Oracle Cloud environments, focusing on technical customization and implementation.
  • Testing Protocols: Develop and execute comprehensive API testing strategies, including pipeline and integration testing.
  • Security Measures: Design and enforce robust security protocols for applications.
  • API Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the complete API lifecycle from conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure Proficiency: Familiarity with Azure cloud services and PaaS offerings.
  • Programming Experience: Knowledge of .NET or Java programming languages.

Additional Skills:

  • Infrastructure as Code: Basic understanding of IaC methodologies and tools.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and architectural solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in deploying scalable and dependable microservice architectures.
