About the Opportunity
The Enterprise Data Services team is seeking a Cloud Analytics Product Manager to spearhead the Analytics and Data Science Products and Platform Team.
Our team provides a centralized cloud data and analytics platform that offers advanced data management and analytical solutions across the Federal Reserve System. We utilize cutting-edge technologies that form part of the next-generation data ecosystem, encompassing services for data ingestion, movement, management, storage, processing, integration, data lakes, warehousing, business intelligence, reporting, visualization, and analytics.
This position is crucial for the success of the analytics platform, focusing on collaboration with business units and their analytics communities. Acting as an Agile product manager, you will engage cross-functionally with other product managers, architects, design engineers, developers, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing secure and scalable products, managing Agile backlogs and user stories, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, documenting business requirements, and driving product features through an Agile release process. You will collaborate with senior leadership on steering committees and working groups to facilitate a data-centric approach and promote platform adoption.
This role will play a key part in shaping the future of enterprise data. As a member of the National IT team, our cloud data services group collaborates with various technology partners and business units, including the Board and IT teams from different Federal Reserve districts. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your critical thinking and relationship-building skills across multiple disciplines within the Federal Reserve System.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage in detailed discussions with analysts across the Federal Reserve System to clarify product requirements. Communicate the business and technical vision for analytics products effectively. Collaborate with business units to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and addressed. Document product feature requirements and secure stakeholder buy-in. Manage stakeholder relationships, communication, and overall satisfaction with products. Work alongside other product managers to oversee an Agile release process. Maintain an Agile product backlog to ensure transparency and accuracy of upcoming tasks. Develop product roadmaps that align with other subproducts and business strategies. Engage with senior executives and business leaders to convey the business value of analytics products. Exhibit leadership, collaboration, and exceptional communication skills to achieve consensus and deliver optimal solutions.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Strong business acumen to understand and anticipate business priorities related to data analytics, machine learning, and natural language processing. A minimum of three years of experience in advanced data analytics. Proficiency in R, Python, and other machine learning frameworks, as well as data pipeline methodologies. Familiarity with Agile product management methodologies and ability to work in an Agile environment. Proven track record as a transformational leader in the data platform and analytics domain. At least three years of experience in architecting or managing advanced enterprise data systems. Experience in developing product roadmaps and translating them into strategic plans. Knowledge of RDS, NoSQL databases, RDBMS, and in-memory databases. Preferred experience in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python. Hands-on experience with cloud-based data services such as AWS Athena, AWS Quicksight, AWS Sagemaker, AWS EMR, AWS DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, AWS DMS, and other AWS data services.
