Our Automotive Coatings group employs 11,400 people operating in more than 70 sites worldwide. In 2021, the Coatings division achieved global sales of about €3.4 billion, serving a wide range of industries. We are a global expert in the development, production, and marketing of coatings and solutions, including:
- Innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings
- Decorative paints
- Applied surface treatments for metal, plastic, and glass substrates
- Advanced solutions for sustainability, performance, and digitalization
- New business solutions through our “Innovation Beyond Paint” program
In this role, you will be responsible for performing benchmarking, derive customer segmentation, and implement service offerings according to it across all business activities. You will also develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive business growth and enhance our market position by closely collaborating with accounts and other functions.

- Providing transparency on current service offerings / cost-to-serve across the value chain.
- Implementing customer segmentation and derive respective service offerings and business rules.
- Performing account portfolio benchmarking analysis and derive recommendations for resource allocation.
- Acting as a sparring partner and closely collaborating with accounts on account strategies and their implementation.
- Leading and execute strategic projects.
- Developing go-to-market strategies for emerging markets (India, ASEAN). E.g., what set-up do we need? Partnerships / M&A?
- Driving global strategic business unit strategy development with close alignment of Coatings Strategy team EC/CS. Monitoring global business unit’s growth versus strategy targets and derive countermeasures where required.
- Developing a vision on the future of the paintshop in collaboration with experts from technology, sustainability, Global Key Account Management and other key stakeholders.
- Managing and executing strategic project such as country-specific deep dives or cross-account initiatives.
- Continuously evaluating the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust as necessary to achieve business goals.
- Leading and executing strategic projects.
- Master’s degree in business administration, economics, or other relevant discipline. Bachelor's and 10 years relevant expertise will also be considered.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in multinational companies in marketing or business management.
- Strategic thinking with a high level of conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement strategies independently and proficiently.
- Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate at all levels along with convincing presentation skills.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Chinese or German will be an asset.
- Good team player, excellent stakeholder management and intercultural awareness
- Experience in Coatings and Automotive industry is an advantage.
