As an IT Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
Oversees the creation of general utility routines and systems and independently develops the more complex routines and detailed sequences of internal program logic by coding, testing, and debugging. Designs and maintains a record keeping system as necessary. Documents all programs and systems.
Ensures optimal technical operation, maintenance and support of the enterprise Linux/Windows environment for robust and reliable performance. Engineers, administers, and maintains Linux RHEL 8 or higher and Windows Server 2022 or higher server environment. Assist with implementing DISA STIG's to Linux/Windows OS. Recommend and execute Linux/Windows server hardware and software configuration, installation, patching, integration, upgrades and performance tuning.
Serves as a Network Team Member for all network support and services such as acquisition, development, deployment, sustainment of all voice and data communications systems including telecommunications networking and voice messaging systems, customer premise equipment, and local area and wide area network equipment.
Conducts feasibility studies and recommends course of action. Participates in most phases of projects, from advising on specification requirements and limitations to helping project managers define the problem or need. Reviews requirements of projects to determine objectives of the program, concepts, nature of the unprocessed data, and processes required in support of the computer effort in order to organize work processes and problems for computer solution.
