Position Overview

The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of assigned workstations. This position requires a proactive approach to managing software upgrades, hardware installations, and providing assistance with various computing tasks, including mobile device support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the installation and configuration of desktop systems and peripherals.
  2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  3. Assist customers and staff with computing needs, ensuring a high level of service.
  4. Manage move, add, and change requests independently.
  5. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex problems.
  6. Maintain awareness of inventory levels and coordinate with facilities for stock management.
  7. Identify and propose cost-saving measures to management.
  8. Utilize problem tracking systems to manage workload and metrics.

Work Environment
This role requires participation in an on-call rotation and the ability to handle semi-routine assignments with a keen eye for deviations from standard practices.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of IT experience is preferred, or six years without a degree.
  • Relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
