From our headquarters in Oakland, California, we have built a global team of scientists, engineers, and agronomists passionate about artificial intelligence and sustainable agriculture.
We are looking to add a remote Customer Success Manager to manage the California Central Valley area. Reporting to the head of customer success and business development, you will ensure our customers receive superior support and consultation on Ceres products and services. This involves working with medium to large agricultural enterprises that are often part of larger land management organizations, upselling accounts, identifying new businesses, and handling all onboarding and renewing. You will be based remotely, with 25% travel. We are looking for a Customer Success Manager with a strong agronomic background who understands how modern agtech works, in particular imaging, and can help our customers optimize their use of water, chemicals, and fertilizers for better yield outcomes.
We offer a base salary range of $85k/yr. or more depending on experience with an uncapped commission structure, monthly employee stipends and home office setup support, cell phone and vehicle stipend, comprehensive health, dental, vision insurance, retirement savings plan, flexible PTO, and ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow positive relationships with our customers in the region through a demonstrated agronomic expertise
- Work effectively with the Ceres Imaging global science team who provide agronomic recommendations, through Zoom and in-person meetings with new & existing customers
- Work with Product Management regarding product usage, service, design, and development
- Minimize customer churn
- Handle and resolve customer requests and escalations
- Liaise with our flight operations team to monitor & manage flight schedules
- Grow existing customer base through expansion of existing products and the introduction of new products and features
Skills for Success:
- Previous experience in the agriculture industry such as agronomy, crop science, ag technology, plant and soil health, and precision agriculture
- Proven track record of meeting or surpassing goals preferably in Ag SaaS companies
- Experience with data management systems
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset
- Understanding of data and analytics solutions
- Project management experience is also a plus
