This position is based in Plano, TX, with a hybrid mix of some in-office time and some remote work.

The Manager of the Audit and Exam Management Team will be the linchpin in our interactions with all external parties conducting audits or testing controls within the IT department. This role is critical in ensuring that our organization not only complies with external regulatory requirements but also maintains the highest standards of internal control and risk management.

Scope of the role includes all information technology, information security, and business process controls maintained by the Data and Analysis team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all external audits, including those by regulators, SOX auditors, internal auditors, and other control testing groups.
  • Ensure that audits are managed effectively, with auditors receiving access to the right personnel and accurate, timely evidence.
  • Oversee the Audit and Exam Management Team, providing leadership and direction to ensure seamless operation and communication.
  • Escalate to senior executives promptly when audit discussions indicate potential issues, ensuring transparency and swift resolution.
  • Coordinate with senior members of the audit teams to align on objectives, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Communicate periodic status of examinations to senior executives, maintaining a clear and current picture of the audit landscape.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all IT controls and their relevance to the organization's operations and risk profile.
  • Coordinate with various technology functions to prepare for upcoming audits, including scheduling, resource allocation, and evidence gathering.
  • Monitor the progress of audits, ensuring that all requests are fulfilled promptly, and issues are addressed swiftly.
  • Analyze audit findings, collaborate with IT leaders to develop action plans, and track the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices to continually enhance the audit management process.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or equivalent related fields, such as MIS or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in applying the principles and practices of internal auditing in accounting, financial, and operational environments, including auditing business functions and information technology systems.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team, set goals and motivate team members to achieve high performance
  • Demonstrated experience serving as the main point of contact for audit-related matters with senior executives, and escalating issues promptly to ensure they are addressed before developing into significant concerns.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively partner with the business and sales groups, lead, and communicate with senior management.
