American Residential Services is seeking a Director of Engagement will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic direction and execution of our owned & earned marketing efforts. This position will lead a team of experienced marketing professionals and collaborate closely with agency partners and key internal stakeholder groups to drive customer engagement and revenue across multiple marketing channels.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and execution across all owned and earned media channels, including SEO, website strategy & development, online reputation management, local listings, email marketing, social media, and public relations for over 30 unique brands.
- Manage and grow a team of marketing channel leaders, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives and fostering a culture of excellence and strategic innovation.
- Cultivate strong relationships with multiple agency partners specializing in SEO and public relations, holding agencies accountable to clear KPIs that will drive overall business success.
- Spearhead the content strategy and oversee web development for our extensive network of 20+ websites, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, technical accuracy, legal compliance, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the paid search team to optimize campaign landing pages through A/B testing and conversion rate optimization, driving continuous improvement in performance metrics.
- Drive customer experience initiatives by gathering feedback from customers, collaborating with field teams on reporting and actionable insights to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with Marketing Analytics partners to implement phone call and web form tracking, establish reporting structure, and form actionable insights to inform marketing channel decision-making.
- Partner with the IT department on API development for websites and other online properties, as well as DNS support, to ensure seamless integration and functionality across ARS online ecosystem.
- Collaborate with Operations and Call Center teams to optimize web chat performance and user experience across all websites, driving lead efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with Regional Marketing and Field Leadership teams on key marketing initiatives across owned and earned media channels, driving lead generation and opportunities for ARS Network branches.
- Collaborate with Finance partners to create, optimize, and track marketing budgets, maximizing channel performance and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Leverage social media to drive brand and service awareness, and engage with customers at a local level, using targeted content strategies and community engagement initiatives to create meaningful connections and drive customer loyalty.
- Have a deep understanding of the KPIs necessary to drive marketing channel success paired with the ability to build reporting and craft narratives to update key stakeholders on performance metrics and actions being taken to drive success.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills - this role will serve as a critical business partner to our field marketing group
- Experience managing direct reports
- Experience managing an enterprise agency relationship or working in an agency environment
- 5-7 years of experience growing traffic, leads, and revenue for a multi-location business
- High level of proficiency with Google Analytics
- Hands-on experience with SEO research and crawling/auditing tools
- Skilled at getting buy-in from stakeholders - backing up suggestions/changes with solid data and compelling SEO reasoning
- Full-spectrum on-page SEO expertise
- Knowledge of HTML markup, JavaScript, and web development
- Knowledge of server technologies (caching, environments, logging)
- Fast learning, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills
- Strong project management and organization skills
