The role provides a unique opportunity to serve as a scientist-practitioner and study workforce topics at a global level. Qualified candidates must demonstrate:

  • Self-guided initiative and innovation. Ability to independently identify and capitalize on opportunities to add value through use of one’s own skills and expertise.
  • Flexibility. Ability to quickly learn and develop an effective point of view regarding different HR topics. Willingness to change projects and focus on new topics with little advanced notice.

What you bring:

  • Initiative and Self-Direction – You will be managed by a virtual leader and responsible for identifying and driving applied research-related activities. You will be empowered to execute your work under minimal direction and are expected to do so. You will be expected to see and realize the creative opportunity in research and development.
  • Adaptability – You will be part of a large, purpose-driven company that maintains a steady focus on long-term goals while adapting to a variety of local and global changes and challenges. You will strive to make quick decisions, welcome feedback on your ideas, and execute actions efficiently and effectively even in the face of ambiguity. You will get to participate in many of the decisions that affect your work but will also be expected to support other organizational decisions and associated changes as they occur.
  • Responsiveness & Attention to Detail – You will be working on a variety of tasks with a high amount of autonomy. You will strive for accuracy in your final work. You will take pride in responding to requests quickly even if the answer is to indicate when you can give a more detailed response. You will work hard to meet milestones and will proactively communicate in advance in situations when goals may be missed for whatever reason.
  • Professional Development – You will be seen within the company, customer, HR, and business communities as someone who is impassioned by research, strives to stay up-to-date on new research findings and techniques, recognizes the practical application of research for SAP SuccessFactors and its customers, and enjoys sharing pertinent research findings in a way that effectively communicates complex concepts and helps others benefit from your knowledge and views.
  • Collaboration – You will work with a global cross-functional group of dynamic personalities and experts in diverse domains. You will also work with customer representatives at all levels (frontline employees to executives) and be expected to adapt your communication and collaboration style accordingly. You will partner and support internal teams and integrate your perspective with the contributions and expertise of others.
  • Applied Research Skills – You will have the opportunity to use diverse research methodologies (e.g., literature reviews, interviews, focus groups, surveys) when conducting your research.  You will be expected to conduct research at the best level possible given practical constraints and will strive to maintain the data integrity and evidence-based nature of your conclusions.
