Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
Is responsible for the Medical Property Book and the focal point for all medical property, as well as, directly responsible for all logistical requirements that encompass property and supply, inventory and storage management including authorization, acquisition, issue, accountability, documentary control and the informal property maintenance support.
Administers medical logistics and inventory management supply programs, including Non-expendable (NX), Expendable (EX) , DLA Medical Troop Support, and Prime Vendor programs to support local, regional and worldwide locations (DPAA East, four overseas Detachments, one Forward Logistics Hub with potential for establishing a second hub).
Is responsible for related systems and operations including comprehensive and detailed property management data bases, hand receipt holder records, property transactions, authorizations, inventories, Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL), Reports of Survey, etc., using various computer software.
Oversees all inventory management functions to include physical counts, inventory reconciliation, tracking and reporting results and trends for the organization.
Coordinates with other relevant staff directorates to develop, submit and update all medical maintenance contracts through TAMC, Amerisource Bergen, Cardinal Health, and Defense Logistics Agency.
Coordinates training for medical operators on all new medical equipment that will be deployed on missions worldwide.
Coordinates, schedules and conducts property turn in and disposal transactions.
