Overview
The primary function of the Logistics Support Specialist role is to execute a range of procurement oversight tasks related to supplies, inventory transfers, equipment management, and various administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Support product inventory management
- Initiate, monitor, and manage product orders
- Conduct weekly physical inventory checks
- Maintain work files to ensure system accuracy
- Generate urgent orders for the central distribution hub and create vendor orders as needed

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, candidates must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) standards for series 1101 along with additional criteria specified in the job announcement.

Qualifications

Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year of proven knowledge in retail procurement and distribution techniques; understanding of retail food merchandising principles and practices; and familiarity with developments in commercial retail food items and equipment.

Examples of qualifying experience include:
- Executing tasks in accordance with supply regulations and policies.
- Establishing supply channels to carry out a variety of standard clerical tasks and resolve recurring issues.
- Managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and replenishment of diverse store items.

OR Education:
Completion of four (4) years of education beyond high school at an accredited institution.

OR Combination of Experience and Education:
To determine the combination, divide your total months of experience by 12, then divide your semester hours by 60 and sum the two percentages. A total of 100% meets the minimum qualifications.

Additional Requirements:
Physical capabilities include:
1. Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs without assistance.
2. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting, and reaching while managing stock and restocking shelves.
3. Potential exposure to extreme temperatures in freezer and chill areas.
