Our Global Legal, Compliance and Regulatory (GLCR) team provides first class advice to colleagues and functions across the organization – ensuring AIG navigates an ever-changing landscape that spans state, federal, and international lines. The team has a multi-dimensional impact, from helping avoid legal exposure to collaborating with other functions to develop cutting-edge new products.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assisting with the preparation, review and maintenance of transactional documents and agreements, including NDAs and other ancillary agreements, and legal notices.

  • Preparing and managing reports on significant legal matters.

  • Assisting with coordinating responses to subpoenas and document requests with North America commercial business units.

  • Collecting, compiling, and organizing legal documentation for attorney review.

  • Researching and summarizing laws, regulations, and legal decisions and articles.

  • Organizing and managing documents, including creating summary spreadsheets.

  • Compiling information and preparing statistics, charts, graphs, and other summaries to detail findings.

  • Using legal software and databases to assist lawyers and clients.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Degree and/or Paralegal certificate are ideal.  Law school experience is a plus;

  • 3 or more years of experience as a Paralegal is desirable;

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other databases;

  • Must possess excellent communication skills - written and verbal;

  • Must be collaborative, highly organized, able to multi-task, deadline oriented, and able to interact with senior leaders in an organization.
