Position Description

Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions

- Manage Cell Physiology and Molecular Physics (CPMB) departmental Graduate student educational
program which encompasses working in alignment with the
vision communicated by leadership
- Serve as an active representative of the CPMB educational
programs in the graduate college.
- Plan departmental events and activities including the Center
for Membrane Protein Research (CMPR) Annual Symposium,
charitable campaigns, holiday gatherings, etc.

Occasional Duties

- Serve as Safety representative Officer for the Dept. Conduct
training and maintain required safety records.
- Manage & facilitate Dept annual equipment inventory.
- Primary administrative point of contact to meet the needs of
students & volunteers for onboarding and throughout their
time with the GSBS dept in TTUHSC

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience supporting a higher education graduate program or knowledge of research lab operation.
