The Payroll & HR Technology Specialist will boost the transformation of Human Resources, by establishing Payroll as a core competency, driving service level improvements, evaluating and selecting vendor partners, capturing and sharing accurate information, leveraging systems and data to enable better and more efficient business decisions. The Payroll & HR Technology leader will also assist with benefits management/administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process a timely and compliant US Payroll for three business entities across multiple states. Maintain payroll and employee data with a high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state/local taxes, court orders, wage and hour compliance and time off/leave of absence payment compliance.
  • Manage administration of HRIS, technical processes, audits, reconciliations, reports and analytics.
  • Establish and document standard operating procedures and create process maps; actively pursue continuous improvement opportunities including the application of technology.
  • Manage payroll vendor relationships; actively participate in vendor evaluations/selection; own/drive transitions; establish regular vendor evaluation protocol/rhythm; ensure timely billing, including audit, reconciliation and payment

Experience & Education

  • BS in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resource; Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
  • 5+ years of payroll experience; including payroll/HRIS systems such as ADP and WorkDay
  • Experience with multistate payroll
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and analytics
