We are excited to present an opportunity for an Automation Control Specialist to become a vital member of our innovative team at Sterling Engineering. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Control Systems Engineering Manager to design and implement sophisticated control systems tailored for custom machining projects that leverage automation principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop control systems for bespoke machining initiatives
  • Apply automation methodologies effectively

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems engineering
  • Proficiency in hardware design, PLC, HMI, Vision Systems, and robotics programming
  • Experience with Siemens or Allen Bradley PLCs is essential
  • Understanding of contemporary programmable controllers and associated technologies

Role Duties:

  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI software
  • Integrate safety measures and industrial network systems
  • Conduct equipment testing and resolve operational issues
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for project-related tasks
